pleasure comes by feasting on the person of Jesus. It reduces the influence of our
self-will and invites the Holy Spirit to do more intense work in us. Mark 9:29 declares
“And He said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and
fasting.” So the victory of our Lord Jesus was recorded through fasting and prayer.
Fasting and prayer is not for lazy Christians. If you want to deal with the enemies of
your OPEN REWARD and place them where they belong, then fasting and prayer
is a weapon to effectively work in that area. Fasting and prayer is hard work. It is for
mature and strong Christians. This 21-day tasting programme is a power-packed
programme to begin the year and God may decide to reveal to you to extend the
fast to a certain number of days in order to get a quality response from Him. As
Christians, we need to employ the method of fasting and prayer if we must actualise
destiny. Fasting without a need for prayer is like going on a hunger strike. Since
fasting and prayer is a good recommendation from the Lord, if you pray and fast
very well, God will intervene in your situation. Sometimes the way we fast is not the
way God expects us to fast. Some fast like hypocrites (Matthew 6:16-18). Some
convert their inability to access food at home into fasting. Some fast because they
don’t feel like eating anything for that period of time. Whichever way you want to
