BASIC SCRIPTURE: LUKE 13:22-30

22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,

24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

Today’s encouragement comes from Luke 13:22-30, where Jesus teaches about the narrow door and the importance of striving to enter through it.

In this passage, Jesus emphasizes the necessity of making every effort to enter through the narrow door that leads to eternal life. He describes a scene where many will seek to enter but will not be able to because the door is narrow and the time for entry is limited. Despite their pleas, they will be turned away because they failed to know and follow Jesus.

This passage serves as a powerful reminder of the urgency of our salvation and the importance of prioritizing our relationship with God. It’s a call to examine our hearts and ensure that we are actively seeking and following Jesus, not just going through the motions or relying on our own efforts.

But amidst the seriousness of Jesus’ message, there is also hope and encouragement. Jesus assures us that those who strive to enter through the narrow door will be welcomed into the kingdom of God. He promises that many who are last will be first, and many who are first will be last. This is a reminder of God’s grace and mercy, which is available to all who sincerely seek Him with repentant hearts.

So, as you go about your day, I encourage you to take Jesus’ words to heart. Make it your priority to seek Him earnestly, to walk in His ways, and to live a life that honors Him. Remember that salvation is a gift of grace, but it also requires our response of faith and obedience.

May this passage inspire you to press on in your journey of faith, striving to enter through the narrow door that leads to eternal life. And may you find hope and assurance in the promise that those who seek the Lord with all their heart will surely find Him.

I hope this encouragement uplifts and motivates you as you go through your day. If you need further inspiration or support, feel free to reach out.
