BASIC SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 40:12-31 (NKJV)

12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, Measured heaven with a span And calculated the dust of the earth in a measure? Weighed the mountains in scales And the hills in a balance?
13 Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, Or as His counselor has taught Him?
14 With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, And taught Him in the path of justice? Who taught Him knowledge, And showed Him the way of understanding?
15 Behold, the nations are as a drop in a bucket, And are counted as the small dust on the scales; Look, He lifts up the isles as a very little thing.
16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, Nor its beasts sufficient for a burnt offering.
17 All nations before Him are as nothing, And they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless.
18 To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him?
19 The workman molds an image, The goldsmith overspreads it with gold, And the silversmith casts silver chains.
20 Whoever is too impoverished for such a contribution Chooses a tree that will not rot; He seeks for himself a skillful workman To prepare a carved image that will not totter.
21 Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
23 He brings the princes to nothing; He makes the judges of the earth useless.
24 Scarcely shall they be planted, Scarcely shall they be sown, Scarcely shall their stock take root in the earth, When He will also blow on them, And they will wither, And the whirlwind will take them away like stubble.
25 “To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing.
27 Why do you say, O Jacob, And speak, O Israel: “My way is hidden from the Lord, And my just claim is passed over by my God”?
28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Reflection: The God Who is Greater Than Your Struggle

As we step into the final month of the year, the words of Isaiah 40 come as a powerful, soul-stirring reminder. The chapter begins with God’s comfort for His people, but today’s passage establishes the reason for that comfort: the unmatched greatness of our God.

The prophet uses a series of rhetorical questions to shake us from our spiritual slumber. Who but God can hold oceans in His hand? Who but He can mark off the heavens with the span of His fingers? The mightiest nations are but a “drop in a bucket” to Him. He is the Creator who is never weary, whose understanding is beyond tracing out.

Yet, in the midst of this cosmic display of power, we find a deeply personal and tender truth. The same God who numbers the stars and calls them by name, sees you. He hears the cry of your heart in verse 27: “My way is hidden from the Lord, and my just claim is passed over by my God.” Have you ever felt that way? That God has lost sight of your struggle, your pain, or your delayed promise?

Today’s scripture demolishes that lie. The God of infinite power is the God of intimate care. Because He is all-powerful (vv. 12-26), He can be your all-sufficient source of strength (vv. 29-31). Your problem is not too big for Him, and you are not too small for His attention. Your strength may fail, but His never will. As you wait on Him—trusting, hoping, and praying—He promises to exchange your exhaustion for His endless power.

Prayer Points for 1 December 2025

1. Worship the Greatness of God: “Father, I worship You today. You are the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. You do not faint or grow weary. Your understanding is unsearchable. I stand in awe of You.” (Isaiah 40:28)

2. Renounce the Spirit of Discouragement: “I renounce and reject every thought that says my way is hidden from You and my cause is disregarded by my God. I silence every voice of despair in Jesus’ name.” (Isaiah 40:27)

3. Petition for Supernatural Strength: “Lord, I have no might. I am weak and weary. I ask now for Your divine exchange. Give power to me, Your child, and increase my strength according to Your promise.” (Isaiah 40:29)

4. Pray for the Grace to Wait: “Holy Spirit, teach me to wait upon the Lord. Help me to wait with expectancy, faith, and patience, not in idle fear but in active trust.” (Isaiah 40:31)

5. Declare Victory Over “Prince-sized” Problems: “I speak to every mountain in my life—every sickness, debt, failure, or opposition. You are a small thing before my God. Be lifted up and blown away by the whirlwind of His power in Jesus’ name!” (Isaiah 40:23-24)

6. Pray for a Fresh Revelation of God: “Open the eyes of my heart, Lord. Let me see You as the One who sits above the circle of the earth. Let this revelation silence every fear and fill me with holy confidence.” (Isaiah 40:22, 26)

7. Pray for the ODM Community Worldwide: “Father, I pray for every user of Today’s Daily Manna across the globe. Strengthen the weary, renew the hope of the hopeless, and let us collectively mount up with wings as eagles in this season.”

• I declare that my God is the everlasting Creator. He never faints nor grows weary.

• I declare that my God holds my situation in His hands. My problem is a drop in His bucket.

• I declare that I will not succumb to weariness or despair. My hope is in the Lord.

• I declare that I am receiving power from on high. My weakness is being transformed by His strength.

• I declare that as I wait on the Lord, my strength is being renewed. I will run and not be weary, I will walk and not faint.

• I declare that every opposing power in my life is brought to nothing by the decree of my God.

• I declare that this December will be a month of divine exchange and supernatural lifting for me and my household.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: You have felt the weight of the year, but God is shifting the burden from your shoulders to His. The same strength that governs the universe is being released into your situation. Your season of weariness is over; your season of soaring has begun.
