Basic Scriptures in Full (KJV)

MATTHEW 7:1-5 (KJV):
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

ROMANS 2:1-3 (KJV):
1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Prayer Points

  1. Prayer for a Forgiving and Non-Judgmental Heart:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, uproot every seed of a critical and judgmental spirit from my heart. Help me to obey Your command to “judge not, that I be not judged.” Let me see others with Your eyes of mercy and grace.

  2. Prayer for Self-Examination and Repentance:
Lord, deliver me from hypocrisy. Give me the courage to first see the “beam” in my own eye before I notice the “mote” in my brother’s eye. Reveal my own hidden faults and sins to me, and grant me a repentant heart to confess and turn from them.

  3. Prayer to Receive God’s Righteous Judgment:
Father, I acknowledge that Your judgment is according to truth. I ask for the grace to live in a way that I can stand before Your righteous judgment without condemnation, covered by the blood of Jesus.

  4. Prayer for Wisdom to Restore Others:
Lord, after I have dealt with my own sins, give me a clear vision and a gentle spirit to help my brothers and sisters in Christ who are overtaken in a fault, not with a spirit of judgment, but with a spirit of meekness and restoration.

Declarations

  1. I declare that I will not judge others, so that I will not be judged. The measure of mercy and grace I extend to others is the measure that will be returned to me. (Matthew 7:1-2)

  2. I declare that I am free from hypocrisy. I will first cast the beam of sin, pride, and fault-finding out of my own life, so that I can see clearly to help my brother. (Matthew 7:5)

  3. I declare that I am not self-condemned. Because I refuse to judge others for the very things I do, I walk in the freedom and forgiveness of Christ and escape the righteous judgment of God. (Romans 2:1, 3)

  4. I declare that I walk in self-awareness and humility. My focus is on my own standing before God, and I trust Him to be the only just Judge of all the earth.

In the Mighty Name of Jesus, I pray and declare these things. Amen.
