Basic Scripture for 6 November 2025 (KJV)

JOHN 21:15-22

15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

Prayer Points

1. Prayer for a Restored Love:
   Lord Jesus, just as You questioned Peter, search my heart today. Remove all that competes with my love for You. I pray, “Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee.” Let my love for You be pure, proven, and primary above all else. (John 21:15)

2. Prayer for a Purposeful Calling:
   *Father, because I love You, assign me to Your service. I receive the mandate to “Feed my lambs” and “Feed my sheep.” Use me to nurture, guide, and care for Your people, both the young in faith and the mature. (John 21:15-17)*

3. Prayer to Embrace God’s Will:
   *Jesus, I surrender my will and my future to You. Even if Your path for me leads to a place “whither thou wouldest not,” I trust You. I declare that my life and even my death will serve to glorify God. (John 21:18-19)*

4. Prayer for a Focused Followership:
   *I reject the spirit of comparison and unhealthy curiosity about the destiny of others. When I am tempted to ask, “Lord, and what shall this man do?” silence me and refocus my heart on Your simple command. (John 21:20-21)*

5. Prayer to Obey the Central Command:
   Above all else, Holy Spirit, empower me to obey the ultimate call: “Follow me.” I will not look to the left or right. My eyes are fixed on Jesus, and I will follow Him wherever He leads. (John 21:19, 22)

Declarations

1. I DECLARE: My love for Jesus is genuine and He is the first priority of my heart. I renounce all idols that compete for His place in my life.

2. I DECLARE: Because I love Christ, I have a divine assignment. I am a feeder of God’s flock. I am anointed to teach, care for, and strengthen His people.

3. I DECLARE: My past failures are redeemed and restored. What the enemy meant for my shame, God has turned into a platform for a greater purpose.

4. I DECLARE: I am free from the bondage of comparison. I will not be concerned with God’s plan for others. My sole focus is to faithfully fulfill my own destiny in Christ.

5. I DECLARE: I am a follower of Jesus! I hear His voice saying, “Follow me,” and I obey. I will follow Him in life, in ministry, and in sacrifice, for His glory.
