MARK 7:8

8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

COLOSSIANS 2:1-8

1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Prayer Points

1. Prayer for Fidelity to God’s Word:
   Lord, guard my heart. I renounce any tendency to exalt the traditions, opinions, or doctrines of men above Your clear commandment. Let Your Word be the supreme authority in my life. (Mark 7:8)

2. Prayer for Spiritual Discernment:
   *Father, I ask for the “full assurance of understanding” that comes only from You. Protect me from being beguiled or deceived by enticing but empty words that are not rooted in Christ. (Colossians 2:2-4)*

3. Prayer for Steadfastness and Order:
   *Holy Spirit, establish my faith. Make me rooted, built up, and steadfast in Christ, so that my spiritual life displays divine order and unshakable stability. (Colossians 2:5-7)*

4. Prayer Against Worldly Influences:
   I come against every scheme of the enemy to “spoil” or plunder my faith through worldly philosophy, vain deceit, and human traditions. I reject every system of thought that is not after Christ. (Colossians 2:8)

5. Prayer for a Thankful and Established Walk:
   *As I have received Christ Jesus as Lord, so I pray for grace to walk in Him daily. Let my life be a continuous, thankful journey of being established in the truth I was taught. (Colossians 2:6-7)*

Declarations

1. I DECLARE: I hold fast to the commandment of God. I lay aside and reject every human tradition that nullifies or contradicts the truth of His Word.

2. I DECLARE: My heart is comforted and knit together in love with the body of Christ. I walk in the full assurance of understanding, acknowledging that all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ.

3. I DECLARE: My faith in Christ is steadfast and orderly. I am rooted, built up, and established in Him, and I will not be moved by deceptive teachings.

4. I DECLARE: I am on guard. I will not be spoiled or taken captive by empty philosophies, vain deceit, or the traditions of men. My mind is stayed on Christ.

5. I DECLARE: I walk in Christ Jesus the Lord exactly as I received Him—by faith. My life in Him is abounding and overflowing with thanksgiving.
