Basic Scripture for November 1 2025: Prayer Points and Declarations

THEME: YOUR MONTH OF MOUNTAIN-TAKING FAITH!

As we step into a new month, God is reminding us that the trials we face are not meant to break us but to build us. He is calling forth the “Caleb spirit” in us—a spirit that, despite delays and giants, remains strong, faithful, and ready to possess the promised inheritance.

1. BASIC SCRIPTURE: JAMES 1:2-4 (NKJV)

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”

2. BASIC SCRIPTURE: JOSHUA 14:6-15 (NKJV) – The Caleb Spirit

*This passage recounts the story of Caleb. Forty-five years earlier, he and Joshua were the only two of the twelve spies who believed God could give them the Promised Land. Now at 85 years old, Caleb declares: “I am as strong this day as I was on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war… Now therefore, give me this mountain…” (v. 11-12). He then possesses Hebron, the land of the giants he had seen decades before.*

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Thanksgiving for a New Month: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of this new month, November. I enter it with praise and declare that it is a month of divine possession and victory, in Jesus’ name.

  2. Joy in the Journey: Lord, as I face the challenges and “various trials” of this month, grant me a supernatural perspective to “count it all joy.” I refuse to be discouraged, knowing You are at work in my story. (James 1:2)

  3. Perfect Patience: I pray for the grace to let “patience have its perfect work” in me. In every waiting period and process, build in me a character that is complete and lacking nothing. (James 1:3-4)

  4. Renewed Strength: Like Caleb, I decree that my strength is renewed for this new month. I receive spiritual, physical, and mental vitality to pursue and possess all that You have for me. (Joshua 14:11)

  5. The Boldness to Ask: Father, ignite in me a bold faith. I come before You today and, like Caleb, I declare, “Give me this mountain!” I specifically claim the “mountain” of [mention your specific promise or area of need, e.g., my family, my career, my financial breakthrough]. (Joshua 14:12)

  6. Victory Over Giants: Every “giant” of fear, debt, sickness, opposition, or doubt standing on my promised land, I command you to fall now! I am well able to overcome because the Lord is with me. (Joshua 14:12)

  7. A Heart that Wholly Follows God: Search my heart, O God. Purge me from every trace of doubt and disobedience. I make a fresh commitment this month to wholly and faithfully follow You, no matter what. (Joshua 14:8-9, 14)
