JOB 31: 1-14 (NKJV)

1 “I have made a covenant with my eyes;
Why then should I look upon a young woman?
2 For what is the allotment of God from above,
And the inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
3 Is it not destruction for the wicked,
And disaster for the workers of iniquity?
4 Does He not see my ways,
And count all my steps?
5 “If I have walked with falsehood,
Or if my foot has hastened to deceit,
6 Let me be weighed on honest scales,
That God may know my integrity.
7 If my step has turned from the way,
Or my heart walked after my eyes,
Or if any spot has clung to my hands,
8 Then let me sow, and another eat;
Yes, let my harvest be rooted out.
9 “If my heart has been enticed by a woman,
Or if I have lurked at my neighbor’s door,
10 Then let my wife grind for another,
And let others bow down over her.
11 For that would be wickedness;
Yes, it would be iniquity deserving of judgment.
12 For that would be a fire that consumes to destruction,
And would root out all my increase.
13 “If I have despised the cause of my male or female servant
When they complained against me,
14 What then shall I do when God rises up?
When He punishes, how shall I answer Him?

Prayer Points:

1. PRAYER FOR PURITY OF HEART AND EYES: Based on Job’s covenant with his eyes (v. 1), pray for God’s grace to guard your heart and what you allow yourself to see. Ask for strength to reject lustful and impure thoughts that can lead to sin.

2. PRAYER FOR INTEGRITY IN SECRET: Job understood that God sees all his ways and counts his steps (v. 4). Pray for a heart of integrity that remains faithful and honest even when no one is watching, knowing that God is your ultimate witness and judge.

Declarations:

1. I declare that I have made a covenant with my eyes. I will not look upon anything that would defile my heart or dishonor God. My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and I choose purity in my thoughts and actions.

2. I declare that I walk in integrity and truth. The Lord examines my heart and my ways, and I am found faithful. I am honest in my dealings, both in public and in secret, for I serve a God who sees all.

3. I declare that my heart is faithful and content. I reject every enticement of the enemy against my relationships and my purity. I am satisfied with the blessings God has given me, and I honor my covenants.

4. I declare that I treat everyone with fairness, justice, and respect. I will not despise or take advantage of those who work for me or are in need. I am a vessel of God’s righteousness and compassion in the earth.

5. I declare that the fear of the Lord is my treasure. It is the beginning of my wisdom and a fountain of life, turning me from the snares of death. I live my life conscious that I will answer to a holy God, and this keeps me on the path of righteousness.
