BASIC SCRIPTURES FOR TODAY – 22ND AUGUST 2025

ISAIAH 61:1-7 (NKJV)

1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins,
They shall raise up the former desolations,
And they shall repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.
5 Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks,
And the sons of the foreigner
Shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6 But you shall be named the priests of the Lord,
They shall call you the servants of our God.
You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles,
And in their glory you shall boast.
7 Instead of your shame you shall have double honor,
And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.
Therefore in their land they shall possess double;
Everlasting joy shall be theirs.

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

PRAYER POINTS

1. Anointing for Purpose: “Father, let Your Spirit rest upon me mightily today. Anoint me to preach hope to the hopeless, bind up every broken heart I encounter, and proclaim freedom to those held captive by the enemy, in Jesus’ name.” (Isaiah 61:1)

2. Prayer for Divine Exchange: “Lord, I receive Your exchange now. I trade my ashes for Your beauty, my mourning for Your oil of joy, and my spirit of heaviness for Your garment of praise. Make me a strong tree of righteousness, planted for Your glory.” (Isaiah 61:3)

5. Prayer for Position and Provision: “I declare that I am called a priest and servant of the Most High God. Let the resources of the nations be orchestrated by You for my advancement and the funding of Your gospel, in Jesus’ name.” (Isaiah 61:6)

DECLARATIONS

1. “I declare that the Spirit of God is upon me! I am anointed for significant impact and divine assignment today.”

2. “I declare that I walk in beauty, joy, and praise. Every trace of despair and mourning is permanently removed from my life by the power of God.”

3. “I declare that I am a believer; therefore, I do the works of Christ. I am conduiting for greater works for God’s glory.”

4. “I declare that double honor and everlasting joy are my inheritance. I possess double in my land and my life.”

5. “I declare that I am a rebuilder and a restorer. My life repairs ruined cities and restores desolate places for God’s glory.”

Go forth in power, victory, and the consciousness of God’s anointing upon your life. Today is a day of divine manifestation!
