BASIC SCRIPTURE: 1 JOHN 3:14-19

PRAYERS AND DAILY DECLARATIONS (12TH APRIL 2025)

Scripture Reading:

1 John 3:14-19 (KJV)

  1. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
  2. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
  3. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
  4. But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
  5. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
  6. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

HYMN: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

Verse 1:
What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit, oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

Verse 2:
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness—take it to the Lord in prayer.

Verse 3:
Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer.
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee—thou wilt find a solace there.

Let the peace of God rule your heart today. He is a faithful friend who never fails. 🙏❤️
