DEEP REFLECTION
-
Divine Timing (v. 1-4):
-
Jesus’ presence at the wedding shows He honors celebrations. His initial reluctance (“Mine hour is not yet come”) teaches us that God’s delays aren’t denials. He acts at the perfect time.
-
-
The Power of Obedience (v. 5-8):
-
Mary’s instruction to the servants (“Do whatsoever He saith”) is a universal principle for miracles. The servants obeyed Jesus’ unusual command to fill waterpots, and their faithful action triggered a miracle.
-
-
Supernatural Overflow (v. 9-10):
-
Jesus didn’t just make wine; He created the best wine, defying natural logic. God’s solutions exceed human expectations (Eph. 3:20). The servants who obeyed knew the source—intimacy with God reveals His secrets.
-
EXTENDED PRAYER FOR THE WEEK
“Father, as I enter this new week, I thank You for the miracle at Cana. Just as Jesus turned water into wine, transform every area of my life where I feel lack or delay. Teach me to wait on Your timing like Mary, to trust Your process even when I don’t understand. As the servants obeyed, give me a heart of immediate obedience to Your Word. Where I’ve seen struggle, pour out Your supernatural abundance. Where I’ve felt ordinary, reveal Your extraordinary power. Let my life, like the wedding at Cana, showcase Your glory so others may believe. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
