DEEP REFLECTION
-
The Cross: Foolishness or Power? (v. 18-21)
-
To unbelievers, the Gospel seems illogical—why would a Savior die? But to believers, it’s God’s power. Human wisdom can’t grasp divine redemption.
-
-
God’s Upside-Down Wisdom (v. 22-25)
-
The Jews demanded signs; the Greeks wanted philosophy. But God’s “foolish” plan (Christ crucified) outsmarted both. His “weakness” (Jesus on the cross) defeated sin and Satan.
-
-
The Calling of the “Foolish” (v. 26-27)
-
God often bypasses the “qualified” and uses the overlooked (David, Gideon, fishermen disciples). Your weakness is a platform for His glory.

PRAYER FOR AUGUST 5TH, 2025
“Father, thank You for choosing the ‘foolish’ things to shame the ‘wise.’ Help me embrace the simplicity of the Gospel. Where I’ve relied on human logic, teach me to trust Your higher ways. Confound the enemy through my life as You use my weaknesses to showcase Your strength. Let the Cross remain my boast, and let Your wisdom guide my decisions this week. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

ACTION STEPS
-
Repent of Human Wisdom: Identify areas where you’ve relied on logic over faith.
-
Preach the Cross: Share the Gospel boldly—its “foolishness” changes lives!
-
Celebrate Weakness: Journal how God has used your flaws for His glory.
BLESSING FOR THE WEEK:
“May God’s ‘foolish’ wisdom override every human plan in your life. May your ‘weakness’ become a stage for His strength, and may the Cross be your unshakable foundation. Go forth confounding the ‘wise’ and glorifying Christ!”
