MORNING DEVOTIONAL FOR JULY 12, 2025

BASIC SCRIPTURE: PSALM 56:1-13 (NKJV) – CONFIDENCE IN GOD’S PROTECTION

1 Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; fighting all day he oppresses me.
2 My enemies would hound me all day, for there are many who fight against me, O Most High.
3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
4 In God (I will praise His word), in God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?
5 All day they twist my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil.
6 They gather together, they hide, they mark my steps, when they lie in wait for my life.
7 Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God!
8 You number my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle; are they not in Your book?
9 When I cry out to You, then my enemies will turn back; this I know, because God is for me.
10 In God (I will praise His word), in the Lord (I will praise His word),
11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
12 Vows made to You are binding upon me, O God; I will render praises to You,
13 For You have delivered my soul from death. Have You not kept my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

1. PRAYER OF TRUST IN GOD’S PROTECTION

*”Almighty God, I come before You this morning with Psalm 56 as my anchor. Just as David cried out for mercy when surrounded by enemies, I declare that You are my refuge in every battle. When fear rises within me, I choose to trust in Your unfailing protection. Your word promises that You collect every tear and record every struggle – I thank You that my pain is not unseen by You. As I face challenges today, I stand on Your promise that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, for You are fighting for me. Amen!”*

2. PRAYER FOR DIVINE DELIVERANCE

“Jehovah Nissi, my banner of victory! I proclaim that every hidden enemy plotting against me is exposed and defeated by Your mighty hand. You who delivered David from all his fears, deliver me from every snare of the enemy. I declare that my feet are established on the Rock of Ages – I shall not fall, but will walk victoriously in Your light. Let my life testify of Your saving power today. Amen!”

3. DAILY DECLARATION OF FAITH

*”Today I boldly declare:

• The Lord is my defender; I shall not fear human threats

• Every attack against me is turned into a testimony

• My tears are precious to God and my struggles have purpose

• I walk in divine preservation and supernatural favor

• No evil plan against me shall stand, for God is with me!
  I am more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens me!”*

KEY THOUGHT: “Your tears are sacred to God. Every struggle you face is being transformed into a testimony of His faithfulness. Walk today in the assurance that the same God who delivered David is fighting your battles!”
