BASIC SCRIPTURES: 1 CORINTHIANS 16: 13; 1 PETER 5: 5-11
1 Corinthians 16:13 (KJV)
13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
1 Peter 5:5-11 (KJV)
5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer for October 11, 2023:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you on this day with hearts filled with gratitude for the guidance and wisdom found in the Scriptures from 1 Corinthians 16:13 and 1 Peter 5:5-11. Your Word reminds us of the importance of standing firm in faith, humility, and vigilance in our spiritual journey.
Lord, help us to watch over our hearts and minds, to stand steadfast in our faith even in the face of challenges and temptations. Grant us the strength to be courageous, to quit ourselves like men and women of faith, and to be strong in our convictions.
We acknowledge the significance of humility in our lives. May we always submit to one another in love and humility, recognizing that it is through humility that we find Your grace. We cast all our cares upon You, knowing that You care deeply for us.
As we face the adversities and trials of life, help us to resist the enemy steadfastly in our faith, knowing that we are not alone in our struggles. You are with us, and Your grace is sufficient for us.
We thank You, O God, for your eternal glory and the promise of your perfecting work in our lives. May we remain rooted and grounded in Your love and find strength and stability through Your presence.
To You, our God of all grace, be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
