BASIC SCRIPTURES: HOSEA 4: 1- 6; MARK 12: 24
Hosea 4:1-6 (KJV):
- Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
- By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
- Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
- Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.
- Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.
- My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Mark 12:24 (KJV): And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

Prayers
Prayer Based on Hosea 4:1-6: Heavenly Father,
I come before You acknowledging that truth, mercy, and knowledge of You are essential in my life. Forgive me where I have erred and neglected Your word. Fill me with Your wisdom and understanding, so that I may seek Your ways and follow Your commandments. Protect my life and the lives of those around me from destruction caused by ignorance of Your truth. Restore our land and heal our hearts, that we may walk in Your light daily.

Prayer Based on Mark 12:24: Lord Jesus,
You reminded us that we err when we do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. I ask for a renewed hunger for Your word. Open my eyes to Your truth and give me wisdom to apply Your teachings in my daily life. Strengthen my faith in Your power, that I may not be led astray. Guide me always in Your path, as I rely on Your word and the mighty power of God.
