BASIC SCRIPTURES: ISAIAH 28: 10-18 PROVERBS 26:2

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

“As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.”

Prayers:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word that teaches us precept upon precept, line upon line. Help us to understand and apply Your teachings in our lives.
Lord, speak to us in ways that we can understand, even with stammering lips and another tongue. Open our ears to hear and receive Your message of rest and refreshing.
Father, forgive us for the times we have not heeded Your word. Help us to be attentive and obedient to Your instructions, so we may not fall backward or be ensnared.
Lord, we pray for the leaders of our communities and nations. May they hear and follow Your word, and not rely on lies or falsehood for refuge.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for laying a sure foundation in Zion, a tried and precious cornerstone in Jesus Christ. Help us to build our lives upon this solid foundation.
Lord, establish judgment and righteousness in our lives. Sweep away the refuge of lies and expose the hiding places of falsehood.
Father, we declare that any covenant with death and agreement with hell in our lives is disannulled. Your truth and power prevail over every scheme of the enemy.
Lord, we trust in Your protection and declare that the curse causeless shall not come. We rely on Your truth and righteousness to guard and guide us.

I declare that I receive and understand God’s word precept upon precept, line upon line. His teachings guide my life daily.
I declare that I am open to hearing God’s voice in all ways He chooses to speak to me. I receive His message of rest and refreshing.
I declare that I am attentive and obedient to God’s instructions. I will not fall backward or be ensnared by disobedience.
I declare that the leaders of our communities and nations will hear and follow God’s word, and not rely on lies or falsehood for refuge.
I declare that my life is built on the sure foundation of Jesus Christ, the precious cornerstone laid in Zion.
I declare that judgment and righteousness are established in my life. The refuge of lies is swept away and the hiding places of falsehood are exposed.
I declare that any covenant with death and agreement with hell in my life is disannulled. God’s truth and power prevail over every scheme of the enemy.
I declare that the curse causeless shall not come upon me. God’s truth and righteousness guard and guide my life.
