TOPIC: THE MALAWI SUICIDE! NEVER QUIT THIS YEAR
BASIC SCRIPTURE: HEBREWS 10: 19-23
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Bishop Dr Chris Kwakpove Morning Devotional 25 February 2022
A former member of Malawi’s parliament killed himself inside the parliament building in the capital Lilongwe last year, Clement Chiwaya, an ex-deputy speaker, shot himself in the head after sneaking a firearm into the office of the parliament’s clerk, a spokesman for the Malawi Police Service, James Kadadzera, said Chiwaya, 50, had served three consecutive terms as a meraber of the Malawian parliament from 2004 10 2019 and was a one-term deputy speaker between 2014 and 2019. He was however involved in a legal tussle over insurance entitlements. At the time of this incident, there was an outstanding case in court regarding his vehicle which was involved in an accident while transfer of ownership had not been completed and insurance had expired. While parliament was working on the matter, Hon. Chiwaya approached the Office of the Attorney General. Then the matter was taken to the Office of the Ombudsman who determined the case in his favour! However, the favourable verdict of the Ombudsman a public body that investigates complaints — was later set aside by a Malawian court. Thus he decided to end his life because of EXPIRED VEHICLE INSURANCE after living such a fruitful life! How many of his physically challenged colleagues were able to succeed in politics the way he did? Why did he forget that a failure is not always a mistake? It may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying! Oh! Why was he not told what Roy T. Bennett quipped: Your hardest times often lead to the greatest moments of your life. Keep going. Tough situations build strong people in the end.” In this year 2022 and no matter how your past has been, know that perseverance is failing 19 times and succeeding the 20th. See Vs. 23 of today’s scripture and determine to hold on and hold out! GOD IS FAITHFUL! TO SAVE THIS ODM VISION, PLEASE SEE PAGE 33 FOR A SLIGHT PRICE INCREASE NOTICE!
