Are you a man? Are you a woman? If your answer is “yes” to any of these questions, then you have an order from God that you should never, never give up. “Men ought always to pray and not to faint…” (Luke 18: 1). That is clear enough, and you have to make up your mind that no matter how tough things get, you will not give up. Walter Elliot says that: “Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after another.” If you are going to do anything worthy of note and celebration, you have to learn the secret of perseverance. Never give up on yourself as 2024 skips on. Never give up on your dreams. Never give up on the people that you love. 1 Corinthians 13:8 says that “Love never fails.” That means that love never gives up. Never give up on your family. If there is a challenge and you’ve been praying and praying, and it seems that God is still busy with other people, keep on praying! Remember Luke 18: 1: “MEN OUGHTALWAYS to pray and not to faint.” I understand how easy it is to get discouraged and quit. That is why a lot of men do it. But you don’t want to be like ‘a lot of men’. You want to be like Jesus! You want to be like David. Napoleon Hill says: “Before success comes in any man’s life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and perhaps, some failures. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of men do.” When you refuse to give up, victory is certain NO MATTER THE FURNACE OF BATTLE! Be like that man in today’s scripture; he never gave up on himself. He knew that Jesus would hear him and grant his desire. He kept on shouting, “Oh, Son of David, have mercy on me…” People tried to silence him, but he shouted louder and louder. He eventually got his miracle. Jesus heard his voice and stood still for him. I see heaven standing still to celebrate you if you HOLD ON AND HOLD OUT!
