TOPIC: WHEN SAMSON REMEMBERED THIS PSALM!

Helen Keller was born without the ability to see and hear. Yet she has impacted the world in a way that thousands of able men and women have not. Pastor Nick was born with stunted arms and legs. Yet, he has travelled the world and impacted lives in a way that can never be quantified. Success is not a function of what you are given in life, it is a function of what you do with what you are given. I love Helen Keller’s words: “Defeat is simply a signal to press onwards.” When things turn out ‘the other way’, don’t quit! Get up again, dust yourself, and press on. Be like the righteous man; even if he falls down seven times, he gets back up again. Don’t follow the path of least resistance. When you do so, you become crooked. There are times when the devil will bring to remembrance some ugly things that you did in the past. He will do his worst to convince you and prove to you that God has not forgiven you, and that He has forgotten you. He will MAGNIFY YOUR PAST MISTAKES to make you feel depressed and less than others! All he is trying to do is to convince you to give up. Disappoint him! Consider Samson in today’s scripture! His eyes had been removed. He had been betrayed by his lover girlfriend. All his family members/kinsmen had deserted him. He was alone in the “pit,” and became the “comedy product” of the philistines. But then he remembered something about the mercy and favour of God! He remembered this: “His anger endures but a moment, but His favour is for life (Psalm 30: 5). He prayed for mercy and asked God to strengthen him. That day, he killed more philistines than he had killed in his lifetime. He ended well. Wow! The Bible records his name along with great men like David, Daniel, Abraham, in Hebrews 11. Why? – Because he refused to quit! I decree now: Every opposition that has been arrayed against you and that has refused to succumb to prayers, will cave in today/this year! You will have the last laugh and your life/ministry will show the world that GOD IS FAITHFUL! Hold on! Hold out!
