Daily Manna 2023 Devotional Reading Plan
Each day of the year has a devotional reading that will help you study your bible, learn about others’ faiths or reflect on your own life. Each reading is accompanied by a related prayer, hymn and scripture for you to avoid for daily worship and prayer.
Devotion One: The Bible has the power to change your life
The Bible is full of stories of people who have had their lives changed by its teachings. Whether it’s the story of a woman caught in adultery who is saved from being stoned to death by Jesus’ teaching of forgiveness, or the story of Saul, who goes from being a persecutor of Christians to becoming the apostle Paul after his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, the Bible is full of stories of lives being changed by its power. When we allow the Bible to speak into our lives, we open ourselves up to having our lives changed as well. The Bible has the power to change our hearts and minds, to convicted us of our sin and turn us towards God, to give us hope and peace in the midst of trials. No matter what situation we find ourselves in, the Bible has something to say that can help us through it.
If you’re looking for a change in your life, start by reading the Bible. You may be surprised at how much it can change you.
Devotion Two: Jesus is the key to life
In this devotion, we will learn that Jesus is the key to life. He is the one who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have eternal life. We need to put our trust in Him and follow His commands if we want to have a meaningful and fulfilling life.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). This means that if we want to have a relationship with God, we need to go through Jesus. He is the only way. We can’t get to God on our own. Daily Manna 2023 Devotional Reading Plan
Jesus is also the truth. He tells us who God is and what He is like. If we want to know the truth about life and what it means, we need to listen to Jesus.
Jesus is also the life. He gives us life both here on earth and in eternity. When we put our faith in Jesus, He gives us new life–a life that is full of purpose and meaning. We don’t have to live in fear or darkness anymore because Jesus has conquered death itself!
If you want to know more about how Jesus can change your life, please read John 3:16-17. These verses tell us how much God loves us and how He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so that we might have eternal life. If you put your trust in Jesus today, you can know
Devotion Three: Believe in love and stay with it
When you feel lost and alone, remember that you are never alone. Jesus is always with you, and he loves you unconditionally. No matter what happens in this world, believe in love and stay with it.
Devotion Four: It’s never too late to start again
No matter where you are in your journey of faith, it’s never too late to start again. If you’ve never read the Bible before, or if you’ve fallen out of the habit, this plan is for you. Over the course of four weeks, you’ll read selected passages from both the Old and New Testaments. Each week includes a different focus, along with suggested readings and questions for reflection.
The first week focuses on God’s love for us. Readings include Genesis 1-3 (the creation story), John 3:16 (God so loved the world), and Romans 8:31-39 (God is for us). As you read, reflect on how much God loves you, no matter what.
