TOPIC FOR TODAY: FEAR OF AGING – THE DANGEROUS BULLET YOU MUST IGNORE IN 2024!
BASIC SCRIPTURE: for 30 March 2024
There is a blunt truth you must live with: You age everyday! Yes! Everyone ages. Yet, so many of us worry about the wrinkles appearing on our face or the grey hairs showing up. But did you know that many cultures around the world view aging as something to be celebrated or be proud of? For instance, in Okinawa, Japan – known for its high number of centenarians (a person who is a hundred or more years old) – aging is seen as a sign of wisdom and experience. Growing older is a part of life’s natural progression. Rather than worrying about the physical changes that come with aging, focus on the experiences you gain with each passing year. In the long run, it’s not the number of wrinkles or grey hairs that matter; it’s the life you have lived, the people you’ve loved, and the experiences you’ve had. See Psalm 92:14-15 (NKJV) – “They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.”GROWING OLD (AGING) CHANGES YOUR NAME TO “BRO OR SIS FLOURISH.” You will BEAR FRUIT AT ANY AGE! FEAR NOT! Refuse to fear that AGING WILL WORK AGAINST YOU! NO! NO! NO! Some fear that age will stop their marital connection or any other blessedness! THAT IS A LIE OF THE DEVIL! You will marry even at 70 or above! You will prosper even at 80 and above! IT IS NEVER OVER WITH YOU! I have seen it happen! Some are destined to FLOURSIH EARLY; OTHERS BEGIN LATE BUT WE ALL HAVE OUR DIFFERENT CALENDARS WITH THE ALMIGHTY! Refuse to worry! Abraham Lincoln quipped: “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” John Lennon scribbled: “Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears.”
