I once wrote an exam in which the question papers of all those sitting next to me or around me were different! So when a friend asked me about one question, I could not help him because his question paper was different from mine! Then I realized that, just those question papers, showed that, “IN LIFE, EVERYONE’S JOURNEY IS DIFFERENT!” Don’t compare your path to anyone else! Your path is your path! Don’t compare it to others. Everyone’s timeline, obstacles, and triumphs are different! Remember that what killed UZZAH, PROMOTED OBEDEDOM! Nobody else is better than you! Stop looking at those ahead or behind you in life! Stop wishing you were someone else! Stop wishing you never made a mistake in your past like some others whom you consider PERFECT! Nobody is PERFECT! But never forget this year that: “You are not your mistakes: they are what you did, not who you are.” (Lisa Lieberman-Wang). I remember a jilted lady who came to my office and told me: “Bishop, I guess I’m just not good enough for anyone. I can’t make anyone stay. They always come and go! I’m not even good enough for an explanation. ALL MY MATES ARE MARRIED.” Wow! I told her instantly: IN LIFE, EVERYONE’S JOURNEY IS DIFFERENT!” Oh, that knocked her back to high spirits! Listen: The moment someone tells you or makes you feel like you’re not good enough, is the moment you know you’re better than them. LET THEM GO because God has a BIGGER PLAN!
