Topic ODM: THE GOD OF OBEDEDOM
BASIC SCRIPTURE: 2 SAMUEL 6:9-15
The Lord has two things to deposit in your spiritman today! Receive them now! (A). Wherever you are, your case is and will always be different from the crowd! The Word says that David was afraid of keeping the ark of God because the Lord had made a breach upon Uzzah! But despite that breach upon Uzzah, Obededom decided to accept the ark because he knew that “a thousand would fall by his side and ten thousand at his right hand, but it shall not come nigh him” (Psalm 91:7 paraphrased). He knew that even when people were dying, he and his family would live! He knew, that yea, gross darkness may cover the whole earth, yet the Lord would arise and shine upon him! He knew that the same water that buried the Egyptians was the same water that blessed the Jews with a pathway of deliverance! Yes, he knew that there was a land called, “Goshen” in Egypt where the economy, the climate and the divine government was different! When there was darkness all over Egypt, was there no light in the land of Goshen? (B). Refuse to weigh your life and ministry by the economy of your nation or by the experience of those around you! God has a special agenda for your life and your case is different! Albert Ellis said: “The best days of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You don’t-blame others, the economy or the president! You realize that you control your own destiny.” Please disconnect from the experience of others! Your case is different!
