Welcome to this devotional hour! Our emphasis in today’s devotional is that: No man can clearly hear from God, till he/she is a sheep! Note that there are both goats and sheep in the body of Christ (Matthew 25:32-33). In fact, it seems the goats are more! Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice…” He did not say, “My goats.” A sheep is a man or woman who is ready to be a fool for God. He/she is ready to do anything at any time as long as it is God speaking! Abraham was very foolish and Isaac was a more foolish person, at the mountain of Moriah (Genesis 22). No wonder their names are engraved in gold globally today. Goats go where they want, goats do what they want, and goats speak how they want, so they cannot hear the voice of God. Get to a point in your life and ministry when God can say, “Give your car” or “Give your coat” or “Eat just twice a day this month,” or “Don’t visit anybody this week” or “Don’t talk to anyone today,” or “Do a 3- day dry fast,” or “Take care of the man of God,” or “Give up your secular job for full time ministry,” e.t.c, and you will obey! I was a goat for many years (till I became a sheep on my hospital bed when the Lord asked me to forget about full-time Pharmacy)! The day I resigned my pharmaceutical job after a long battle with God, was the day I was discharged from the hospital. Stop using your brain! Surrender your will and never forget that: The biggest limitation you will ever contend with on this planet is not the devil, but your head! Be a sheep! Goats are destined failures!
