ODM TOPIC: THE LAST MINUTE CAN REVERSE THE BATTLE -1
W.E. Corey, the general superintendent of Andrew Carnegie Homestead Works, once proclaimed: “It is not always that smartest man who gets along the best: “It is the man with bulldog tenacity, the man who perseveres and never gives up who succeeds.” Oh, heaven has a strong word for you today! Note that every trial has a purpose, and it takes a waiting/patient/determined man/woman to discover that purpose! Many are in the graveyard today due to anxiety, worry or suicide because of problems! Romans 8:28 says, “All things work together for good.” God is not a liar! Believe His Word that if you wait on Him, and if you don’t give up, something wonderful, something sweet, something pleasant will spring forth from your life, family and ministry! Philips Brooks did say, “Wherever souls are being tried and ripened, in whatever common place and homely way, there God is hewing out the pillars for His temple.” The divine blacksmith is on duty in your life and ministry and you will come forth as gold! Sirach said: “For gold is tried in the fire and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity.” God is preparing you for paramount victory! Many times, He cannot use you unless you have been schooled in the furnace of affliction. Psalm105: 19 says that God’s Word tried Joseph! Did Joseph not reign at last? You too will reign! Note vs. 19: “Until the time…” Joseph’s trial was connected to a time frame! So also is yours. History abounds with instances of doubtful battles or unexpected reverses transformed by man’s stubbornness into eleventh hour triumph! Your last minute can reverse your battle and re-write your history for good! (To be continued tomorrow)…
