A man was hired to paint a boat. While painting it red, he noticed a small hole in the hull and quietly repaired it. After finishing, he was paid and he left. The next day, the boat owner visited him and gave him an extra cheque. The painter was surprised and said, “You’ve already paid me.” The owner replied, “This isn’t for the paint job, but for fixing the hole in the boat, even though I didn’t tell you to.” The owner explained that his children had taken the boat fishing, unaware of the hole. He panicked when he realized they were at sea, but was greatly relieved when they returned safely. “You saved their lives,” the owner said. Wow! I can assure you that, if it were some people, that hole would not be touched! You will hear, “They didn’t pay me for that” or “They don’t pay me enough for this or that.” The Holy Ghost wants you to WORK THE EXTRA MILE FOR OTHERS THIS YEAR! Don’t just work for what you are paid or for the reward you will get! GO THE EXTRA MILE! It is the EXTRA THINGS you do that attract the EXTRA DIVINE REWARD because the difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary is that little extra! “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people” (Ephesians 6:7). Hear Yul Odehi: “You never know when your simple deed will become someone’s miracle.” It is not everything you should expect payment for! Sometimes, do it for the sake of God and the extraordinary will be your daily experience in 2025!
