On April 1, 1979, 18-year-old Andreas Mihavecz found himself in a nightmare after a car crash. Following the accident, he was arrested by the police and placed in a holding cell. What happened next was saddening. Andreas was forgotten in the cell by the three “busy” officers. As a result, he spent 18 days in the basement cell, crying out for help with no food or water. A place meant as a temporary holding cell, became his permanent residence for two weeks with no food or water. He was later found alive by another officer. You that has been crying to the Lord from the “prison of the forgotten,” hear what Lamentations 3:55-56 (NIV) says: “I called on Your name, Lord, from the depths of the pit. You heard my plea….” The prison of the forgotten is a place where cries and pleas are not heard. But the Lord has heard your plea and He is pulling you out by fire! Men may forget you, but God says He hasn’t forgotten you! See Isaiah 49: 15 – “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.” Did you get that? DELAY IS NOT DENIAL! When God seems to be silent despite your prayers, HE IS WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES! That is why you must NEVER GIVE UP! Rigan Rols said, “Sometimes you have to be forgotten by man to be remembered by God.” Isaiah 49: 16 also says: “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands; thy walls are continually before Me.” Shout for JOY because you can never be forgotten!
