It was C.H. Spurgeon who said, “Your salvation is not a hiding place—it’s a launchpad.” Yes! After escaping slavery, and seeing the beauty of freedom, Harriet Tubman, a woman who was born into slavery, decided that she couldn’t live with herself if she did not share the good news. Harriet did not just share the news, she went through the hurdles and threats of being recaptured to free others. She would go in the cover of the night, crawl under deadly highs and jump over hazardous lows, all because she said to herself, “I was saved not because I should have freedom for myself but that I may carry the burden of others.” 1 John 3:16 says, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.” Freedom in Christ is not a souvenir for decoration, it is a summon! Jim Elliot quipped, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” Why do you think you were saved? It is not for you to keep! It is to give back what you were first given! Christ gave it all for you so that you can give it all for lost souls! Stop hiding in your salvation! Go out and multiply! FIND A WAY TO WIN SOULS! Catch this from C. S. Lewis: “The Church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christs. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time. God became Man for no other purpose.” Wow! Close with Matthew 16:25: “Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” Two thirds of God’s name (GOD) begin with “GO.” Go with your money, your phone, your mouth or your lifestyle!
