Welcome to today’s devotion of answered cries. God is as much the God of tears as He is the God of faith. Psalm 56:8 says, “You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?” Oh, your God takes record of every teardrop from your eyes! He knows you have been crying in secret! I call Him, THE TEAR WIPER and He will wipe your tears away! The Bible says Hannah cried and wept bitterly (1Samuel 1:10). God did not abandon her in her days of mockery, tears and pain because JEHOVAH TSURI – The LORD is Your Rock; full of compassion! Have you seen a good mother abandon her crying child? Isaiah 66:13 says, “As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.” Matthew 14:14 says, “And when Jesus went out, He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.” Our God is too compassionate and loving to ignore your secret tears and cries! David declared in Psalm 34:15, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry.” He is not only a God of faith but also a Father moved by the cries of His children. He hears your cry just as He honors your faith. Call on Him! He will answer! He says He will not leave those tears to dry up on your face; He is storing them in His bottle and stores them in His diary (book). Ah! No prayer is a waste! He says the enemies will not use your case as a reference point for unanswered prayers! Close with this quote by Max Luxado: “God’s solution is a prayer away!” Don’t quit! Hold on! Hold out!
