TOPIC: DON’T SETTLE DOWN AT MOUNT SEIR!
Verse 1 of today’s 1st scripture says: “We compassed Mount Seir many days.” I do not know why the children of Israel compassed Mount Seir for many days, but I know that God did not promise to take them to Mount Seir! Mount Seir was not their destination! But somehow, they decided to settle down there! Now look at verse 3: “You have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.” God was telling them: “Wherever you are today, there is more! There is something greater and better and more glorious in your future! Don’t settle down yet!” And that is what He is telling a user of today’s devotional: “I am not through blessing you. It is not time to go into a LUKEWARM FAITH or a strange LUKEWARM FIRE! My plans are beyond what your human eyes can see and beyond the sound your ears can hear.” Notice verse 13 of the second scripture: “And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great.” In other words, Isaac kept on increasing and progressing and prospering until he became very great! Even the very great have a land they have not conquered and have heights they have not attained! DON’T RELAX NOW! There is more! There are great NEXT LEVELS after your NEXT LEVEL! Don’t let the challenges and battles of today switch off your faith! “Mount SEIR” (where you are now) is not your final “bus-stop!” Stir yourself up and move on!
