Welcome to another day in this fasting programme! On November 26, 2022, this unbelievable but true incident happened in an Air India Flight from New York to Delhi. On that flight was a “big man.” He was travelling in business class. The man named Shankar Mishra was Vice President at an American multinational financial services company, Wells Fargo & Company. Prior to the flight, this man had gone to consume some good quantity of alcohol. Mid-air, the big man did the unthinkable and unimaginable; he urinated on a woman who was a fellow passenger in business class on that flight! The woman expectedly, didn’t take the matter lying low. She reported to the cabin crew and requested to change her seat. The crew reluctantly acceded to her request to change seats and merely sprayed her urinesoaked shoes and bags with disinfectant. In addition, after the flight, the man was said to have apologized for his actions when he was brought before her by the crew. Dissatisfied, the lady lodged a complaint with the police! Indian police arrested the executive big man. He was taken to court and was put in a 14-day judicial custody before trial began. Embarrassed by this unethical behavior, Wells Fargo immediately terminated his appointment. Oh!A great man lost all he had labored for because HE COULD NOT CONTROL HIS APPETITE FOR ALCOHOL! What is your weakness? Deal with it NOW before it sends you to the valley of SHAME! Samson’s inability to control his emotional feelings for Delilah led to the loss of his eyes and his great destiny! Lucifer lost his position in heaven because he couldn’t control his appetite for power. Adam and Eve lost the garden, because they couldn’t control their appetite for FOOD. I like what Muthu Palaniappan penned: “Discipline not just determines success but determines how long you can stay successful.” Did you get that? Discipline determines HOW LONG YOU CAN STAY SUCCESSFUL! Even after this 21- day fasting program, how long you can keep your testimony is determined by DISCIPLINE and HOW YOU CAN CONQUER YOURSELF!
