TOPIC: NEVER TRY TO PLEASE EVERYBODY -1
The popular American comedian, Mr. Bill Cosby, did affirm on stage one day: “I do not know the key to success, but I do know the key to failure: it is trying to please everybody.” As 2025 ends, it is a timely message to a soul using this devotional today! If you desire to walk with God and be victorious on this earth, you must realize that everyone is NOT going to believe in your dreams or ministry! That’s why some people must leave you sometimes for you to make faster progress! Hanging around some people will stagnate you! Your duty is to please God first and then yourself next! Men do not have to believe in you in order for you to succeed. Vs. 7 of today’s scripture says, “Unto you therefore which believe He is precious but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner.” Did get that? Men disallowed, disbelieved and disobeyed the LORD Jesus! Did that affect His success? No! No! No! Determine to please only God Himself! That is the secret to winners in this wicked world! I repeat: Men do not have to believe in you in order you to succeed! After all, you are your only type and kind in the whole wide world! 1 Peter 2:9 says, “…you are a chosen generation…” That means you are unique! Never allow anyone to belittle you! Feel good about yourself and focus daily on your positive points while you work on weak points! NOBODY IS PERFECT! All men/women make mistakes! Don’t allow your mistakes to depress you! Place a value on your job, spouse, family, church, business and ministry! Develop your independent mind, and you will find that there are people whom heaven will bring to believe in you! Never forget: The fastest route to failure is trying to please everyone! Move on with confidence/avoid it!
