Welcome to another day in this fasting programme! As we continue from yesterday’s devotional, note that the foundation of a strong self comes from small acts of daily discipline. We all have instincts and emotions (a natural way of acting or thinking). God created us that way. We or animals have God-given emotions to reproduce; that is why we or they are drawn to the opposite sex when we/they get to a particular age. Despite the fact that you have instincts (emotions), they must however, not be allowed to destroy you! No wonder PLATO said: “For a man to conquer himself is the first and noblest of all victories.” Your instincts must be brought under control in 2024.CONQUER YOURSELF THIS YEAR IF YOU MUST CONQUER DEMONS! CAN YOU CONTROL FOOD and FAST? Perversion of the instinct to reproduce is what leads to pre-marital sex, rape, fornication and adultery. We all have instincts to live in comfort, hence we work to make money. Perversion of that instinct leads people to rob, kill, do rituals to become rich, and many of such negative vices. Look at today’s reading of the scripture. Amnon was so depraved that he fell in love with his sister. How can a right thinking person, leave all other women and fall in love with his own sister? He raped his sister! Even the Bible talks about controlling your appetite if you love food a lot (Proverbs 23:1-2). YOU MUST DETERMINE TO COMPLETE THIS 21- DAY FAST AND BE AT THE LAST-DAY WORLD ANOINTING NIGHT – January 26th 7pm, at the MANNA MOUNTAIN CATHEDRAL/EXPANSIVE LAND, Ogudu Orioke, via Ojota LAGOS!
