Basic Scripture for Today 26 SEPTEMBER 2025 Prayer points and Declarations
I knelt down to pray one evening when the day was done and prayed, “Tonight, oh Lord, bless everyone. Lift from each heart the pain and let the sick be well again.” And then I woke up the next day and carelessness went my way. The whole day long, I did not try to wipe a tear from an eye. I did not try to share the load of any weary soul on the road. I did not even go to see the sick next door or on the next street. Yet once again, when the day was done, I prayed again: “Oh Lord, bless everyone.” And as I prayed, there came a voice like a whisper, clear and strong: “Pause, hypocrite, before you pray. Who have you tried to bless today? God’s sweetest blessings always go by the hand that serves Him and blesses others!” Then I hid my face and cried, “Forgive me Lord for I have lied. Let me but live another day and I will live the way I pray.” Wow! Indeed, many prayerful hypocrites walk the roads daily and many are in churches! Today’s scripture was what provoked the poetic write-up above. Note verse 42. Love people more than they deserve! Make it a life of principle! Constant kindness can accomplish much! As the sun melts ice, so kindness causes hatred and hostility to evaporate and the world will remember you! DEATH CAN KILL A PERSON, BUT NOT A GOOD NAME. In this 2nd half of 2025, do something good as you go out daily! LIVE THE WAY YOU PRAY!
