Daily Devotional Topic: THE TWO EVIL BROTHERS: FEAR AND DOUBT
Once upon a time, there was the fable of THE TWO EVIL BROTHERS – FEAR AND DOUBT! They moved round from house to house knocking on the doors of people. Each time the doors were opened, they would rush in, terrorize the occupants and release depression, discouragement and confusion into their lives. FEAR and DOUBT continued to go from house to house, from city to city and from state to state destroying people’s dreams. One day, fear and doubt saw a beautiful big house and said, “Let’s go there and disorganize the occupants.” They ran to the door and knocked. Little did they know that it was the house of their greatest enemies – FAITH & COURAGE! Finally, faith and courage op ened the door! When they opened the door, there was no one there! They looked up and down the street, and they saw nobody because, In the face of faith and courage, fear and doubt would disappear! Wow! Did you get what the Holy Ghost is saying to you? RESIST FEAR, CONFUSION and DOUBT!It was Franklin Roosevelt who said, “We have nothing to fear than fear itself.” Milton did say, “He who reigns within himself and rules passion, desires and fears is more than a king.” In this last quarter of 2025, dwell on Isaiah 41:10, “Fear thou not; for l am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God….” Fear has been defined as False Evidence Appearing Real! Reject it! Shakespeare did write, “Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.” Take a step of faith on any matter before 2025 is over! Resist worry, anxiety and depression! They are the uncles of fear! On any matter, trust God and believe His Word! A miracle will happen! Hold on and hold out!
