TODAYS ODM : SEEK TO BE A BARNABAS! NOT A PAUL!

Vs. 27 of today’s scripture says: “But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.” Note that it was BARNABAS that first reached out to the new convert CALLED Paul (Saul). THAT WAS A CARING HAND IN ACTION! The Holy Ghost is speaking to someone: BE A “BARNABAS” IN A WORLD WHERE EVERYONE WANTS TO BE A “PAUL!” Wow! Listen: Paul later became the CENTER STAGE OF THE MOVE OF GOD IN THE BOOK OF ACTS! Yet BARNABAS WAS NOT JEALOUS! Yes! He had a quarrel/ rebuke against PAUL because Paul wanted to take revenge on JOHN MARK (a weak disciple) but BARNABAS said “NO” AND THEY SEPARATED (See Acts 15: 31- 40)! BARNABAS PREFERED TO CARE THAN TO BE POPULAR! Oh, no wonder Acts 4: 36 called him, THE SON OF “CONSOLATION” (paraklesis). The original Greek word “PARAKLESIS” was also translated as “encouragement,” “consolation,” “comfort,” and “exhortation.” Listen: Many people want to be center stage, especially ministry leaders or be very visible wherever they are! THEY SEEK TO BE SEEN! They seek to be popular as PAUL was POPULAR in his generation! But there is also a significant role to play as “the son of encouragement/consolation – A “BARNABAS.” BE A BARNABAS AS 2024 SPINS TO AN END! Shalom! Shalom! Shalom! Daily Manna Today 22 November 2024

be popular! LORD, help me to serve You and fulfill my
destiny! I shall not seek to be praised by men or be popular by
all means! So help me God! - Every power assigned to use my life as a dumping ground for PRIDE;
CATCH FIRE in Jesus name (Pray it seriously). - I shall not struggle for promotion! Every tree of failure of my
father’s house, die in Jesus name. - Pray about today and any other issue(s) affecting your peace.
