It was Dietrich Bonhoeffer who quipped, “When Christ calls a man, He bids him come and die.” Did you get that? FOLLOWING JESUS CHRIST IS LIKE A CALL TO “COME AND DIE!” Wow! Jesus said in Matthew 16:24-25, “If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” Hear me, no man who follows Christ will keep his life! He must die on the cross! You do not come to Christ with an old life and live it by him. Never! No wonder the fearless Paul declared in Philippians 1:21, “To live is Christ. To die is gain.” Where is Christ bidding you to “come and die?” Is it from a bad habit or secret? Is it from a relationship or a comfort you cling to more than Him? Get this assignment: This week, fast from one thing that distracts you from wholehearted surrender. Onesiphorus, a believer in Ephesus, sought out Paul in Rome during Nero’s brutal persecution. Unlike others who abandoned Paul out of fear (2 Timothy 1:15), Onesiphorus “was not ashamed of Paul’s chains” (vs. 16). He refreshed the imprisoned apostle, even when association with a condemned “enemy of the state” could have cost him his life. Everyone else ran away! But Onesiphorus stayed because that is what crucified men do. Real faith bleeds. Real disciples die daily. The cross is not a pendant or jewelry. It is an execution stake! Pick it up, or walk away.    relationships, ambition, or comfort. Let nothing compete with
   the cross in Jesus name.
3. I am bold against whatever God has not planted like
   ONESIPHORUS (mention them now).
4. I declare my old life as dead. I no longer live, but Christ lives in
   me. Pray in Tongues seriously now.
5. Pray about today generally as led now. Pray about any issue(s)
