TODAY’S ODM LORD, WE NEED ANOTHER ANTIOCH!
Mr. Karl Marx, who is the founder of modern day communism in Russia, was the son of a pastor! Remember that communism believes that religion (Christianity in particular), leads to frustration! Yes, he read the Bible and knew the Bible so well, yet he rose to lead the ban of religion in the communist world! Why? He saw Christians as lazy people who only use religion as an escape route (excuse) for failure! In his days, few Christians if any, walked in victory over purity, prosperity, or sickness, etc. He saw the people poor and sick, while the priests lived in opulence and this angered him. He came up with communism, which simply means equal sharing of the state wealth – the giving out of the 2nd coat or pair of shoes, for example! You can’t drive more than one or two cars at a time under communism. In his confusion, he wrote in his book titled, “Critique of the Hegelian Philosophy of Right” that, “Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of the heartless world and the soul of the souless circumstances. It is the opium the people.” Another book, “PENSEES” written by Blaise Pascal contained: “Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it in religious standpoint.” Hence religion remains the greatest predator (destroyer) of man! Dear child of God, how long will this testimony of a confused and hypocritical Christian life last? Karl Marx and Blaise Pascal are dead, but those observations about the church are still fresh! The words, “born again” today have become an object of mockery! Even the Muslims are now becoming “born again” in Islam! Shame! Let our lips and our lives match each other! Let our lives and the Book (Bible) match each other! Were the ordinary men and women like us not called, “Christians” in Antioch? They were common folk like you and I. Turn your neighbourhood, market, office, classroom or city to another “Antioch.” Let people be able to say, “This one is a Christian indeed.” Repent from whatever brings ridicule to your testimony! Is it your temper? Is it your dressing? Is it your debts? Is it immorality? Let today’s devotion be a vessel in God’s Hands to turn your life and ministry into a light upon a hill!
