It was George Horace Lorimer who penned: “You’ve got to get up every morning with determination if you’re going to go to bed with satisfaction.” Remember yesterday’s devotional story! Martin Luther was “fired” from a QUITTING platform into a rocket of DETERMINATION by his intelligent and visionary wife. In today’s scripture, Elijah asked God to take so discouraged that he wanted to die! Indeed, TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE! It does not mean you his life! He was must have a wife like LUTHER DID! Indeed, Elijah did not have a wife, a mentor, church elders or a counsellor, etc. He was just alone without a wife, a coach or a trainer who would stir him up when he was depressed. However, you have no excuse today to be depressed because you have pastors, ministers, counsellors, this ODM booklet and the whole Bible. You have the promises of God that you can read so don’t say that like Elijah, you are useless and worthy of death! Hear Bethany Hamilton: “I believe in Jesus Christ, and I believe He gave me the passion and determination to continue surfing. You fall off the horse, and you get back on. I had to go for it.” That is determination! Oh! I love Denis Waitley: “Determination gives you the resolve to keep going in spite of the roadblocks that lay before you.” Always remember the BLACK DRESS “DRAMA” of Mrs. Luther (yesterday’s devotional) and always remember: YOUR GOD IS NOT DEAD! DELAY IS NOT A DENIAL! Hold on and hold out!
