D .D. Eisenhower, former president of the United States, once said: “Without integrity, no real success is possible. No matter where, whether it’s on a section of a gang, a football field, in the army, or in an office, if a man’s associates find that he lacks forthright integrity, he will fail! The first great need therefore of any success seeker is integrity and high purpose.” Also, it was Zig Ziglag who said: “If you lose money, you have lost nothing; if you lose your health, maybe you lose something, but if you lose your character, name and integrity, you have lost all.” Your name is your total worth! Remember that your name has already gone to heaven before you! Yes, your name is a special item in the Book of Life (Revelation 3:5)! So what Satan wants to do daily is to make sure that your name is completely removed from the Book of Life! He does this by using trials/circumstances to provoke you to do things that will tarnish, stain or destroy your good name! Watch out for him in the office, at home, the school and the market/shop! Do all you can to keep your name/integrity spotless! Let your accusers be found to be liars! Proverbs 19:1 says, “Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse… and a fool.” The value of character is the standard of human progress. It is better to be poor; it is better to be reduced to beggary. It is better to be cast into prison, or condemned to perpetual slavery than to be destitute of a good name! Any trap that has been set to destroy your integrity in life and ministry will burn today! I see your name rising and shining! I see your name among the stars of the earth! I see your name boldly engraved in the Book of Life! I see your good name opening doors, even for your children (today’s scripture – Jonathan and Mephibosheth)! Ben Carson said, “When we choose to be men of integrity, even the ungodly will show us favour.” Battle daily to keep your good name! Shame will baptize your enemies in Jesus name!
