The United States election in which President Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump has long come and gone; but the controversies/ memories following the elections are still on. Oh, what is happening to the democracy that America has attained? One of those stories, is the basis of today’s devotion. Welcome! The story goes that some days before Donald Trump’s supporters went on to ransack the U.S Capitol, the president then (Donald Trump), allegedly opened a high-stake oval office meeting where he complained to the acting Attorney General that he wasn’t doing anything to “overturn” his election defeat by Joe Biden. This very bizarre claim was made by the former Acting Attorney General, Jeffrey Rosen, in an interim report released by the U.S Senate Committee on the judiciary. The report concluded that Trump and his top aide repeatedly put pressure on officials of the Justice Department to endorse his election conspiracy theories and help him reverse the result. It was further claimed that several Department of Justice officials and the White House counsel then, had threatened to quit their jobs if Donald Trump’s plan to replace the acting Attorney General with a loyalist was carried out. Wow! AS WE CONTINUE TOMORROW, never forget Proverbs 11: 3 – “The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.” INTEGRITY! In this year 2024, think also on whatever is in Philippians 4: 8 (see it again)! Stand for what is right, pure and blameless! Yes!
