ODM TOPIC: THE HAND THAT LIFTED PETER IS WAITING TO LIFT YOU!
Welcome again to another encounter with the Shepherd of your soul! Playwright, George Bernard Shaw, affirms that: “A life spent in making mistakes is not only honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.” God is using today’s devotional to strongly affirm to you that you can make mistakes and move on! President Theodore Roosevelt said: “He who makes no mistake makes no progress.” One mistake will become an experience, which eventually brings competence, and you make fewer mistakes as you grow up! Please pray and plan bigger things for your life and ministry! Take bigger risks prayerfully! Inactivity/fear are “demons!” Did Peter not boldly walk on water? Yes, he failed along the way and began to sink, but the Lord lifted him up! The same Hand that lifted Peter is around your life and ministry ready to spin you out of disgrace and shame! God Himself experienced a ‘delay’ and “temporary failure” – (Genesis 6:6)! To fall and remain there is a disgrace! Arise, take an action, allow mistakes, learn from them and then let your generation learn from your experience! I see a pastor starting another branch now after the first failure! I see a businesswoman opening another shop now! I see a family laying a new residential house foundation/mortgage before the end of this year! Ah! I see five men starting new businesses after the initial betrayal! Listen to what President John F. Kennedy said: “There are risks and costs to a program of action, but there are far less than the long-range risks and costs of comfortable inaction.” Inaction/procrastination are too high a price to pay for the fear of failure!
