In 2008, Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks, faced immense challenges during the global financial crisis. Remember that Starbucks company mainly does roasting, marketing, and retailing of special coffee! Starbucks annual gross profit for 2024 (last year) was $24.996 billion, a 1.75% increase from 2023. But in 2008, many advised the former CEO, Howard Schultz, to cut costs and close stores as profits went down. But instead of giving up, Schultz saw the disruption as an opportunity for growth! He invested in reinventing the customer experience and innovating new products! His bold decision paid off, and Starbucks not only recovered but thrived, becoming even more successful as shown in their profit figures above! Ah! Job 22:29 says: “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, ‘There is a lifting up.” Hallelujah! Note: Your “CAST DOWN SEASON” IS NOT YOUR SEASON OF DEPRESSION OR TEARS; it is your season of looking up and declaring daily: “A new season of LIFTING IS COMING!” Confess that scripture three more times! I don’t know whoever is saying to you to cut the number of days you visit church, the amount of time spent praying or being courageous! But the LORD is saying to you: “Look To Me! Hold My Hands By Faith! I Shall Lift You Up And Your Life Will Shock Many For Good! Yea! I Repeat To You Again My Child; A Knock Down Is Not A Knock Out!” Mark 10:47-48 says: “…And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, ‘Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” The world told him to shut up; but he knew there was a ‘LIFTING UP’ coming! Listen: Never allow depression, self-pity, giving up or cutting off faith in your waiting time!
