Today’s scripture is a continuation of yesterday’s text. Job could not understand why he had to pass through what he believed was meant for only sinners – Affliction.
In Vs. 16, he even said, “I was a father to the poor and I broke the jaws of the wicked. The cause I knew not, I searched out.” That means that there were times he went out of his way to help those in need, yet he went through the University of Trials.

Don’t forget our slogan that, A BEND ON THE ROAD IS NOT THE END OF THE ROAD. A bend in your life’s journey is only a bend! NEVER TURN A BEND INTO YOUR FINAL BUS-STOP!
Job was about 70 years old when he went through his trials. But don’t ever forget that he lived an additional 140 years in eisure and splendour after his final deliverance.
The trial lasted for about one year but was very painful. Whatever you are going through now, is being timed by God. The purpose of trials is to teach character lessons like patience (Rom. 5: 3) and trust in God.
From Job’s 71st birthday to the last 140 years of his life, he had peace, prosperity and complete restoration. Your case is not going to be different! Hear Albert Einstein: “Life is like riding a bicycle.
To keep your balance, you must keep moving. Again the great Abraham Lincoln once told his political friends: “If I had eight hours to chop down a tree, I’d spend six hours sharpening my axe.”
No wonder he was very great! The six hours used in working, sharpening the axe and waiting can be tedious and discouraging, but at last, you will sit on your destiny throne! REFUSE TO QUIT!
Also, don’t forget God’s Word and our slogan since yesterday. Habakkuk 2:3 magnified it further: “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak and not lie.
