TOPIC FOR TODAY: HOW THE TOP SCIENTISTS WERE DISGRACED!

GALATIANS 1:10-16 -CEK I once heard a story that at the turn of the 20th century, the world’s top scientists gathered and held a conference. They reached the following conclusions: 1. Metals will never fly in air. 2. Man will never be able to travel beyond 50km/hr. 3. The idea of radio waves as a means of transmitting sound was not feasible. That was in 1900. We all know that all these three conclusions have been refuted and overturned by men who believed that “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE” – Mark 9: 23. The striking thing is that in 1904, about four years after those “Unbelieving” scientists made their conclusions, the Wright brothers flew a metal plane in the air for a couple of minutes, way beyond 50 km/hr. The Wright brothers were not aware that the Who-is-Who in the science world had pronounced it impossible to fly metal in the air. They kept on experimenting and testing their contraptions until it flew. They fulfilled the words of Jesus, “All things are possible.” Ah! Never give up on your dreams! Julia Cameron, award winning poet, playwright and film-maker, said something I love so much: “When your dreams turn to dust, vacuum them.” In other words, don’t let the winds of life sweep away the dreams of your heart. Hold on to those dreams, believe them, and keep on working until they become a reality. Doug Larson said that: “Some of the world’s greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible.” The Wright brothers were one of such people. In this 2024, be one of such people! Reject the word – “IMPOSSIBLE.” Look to God! Hold on and hold out!
