ODM TOPIC: A THRONE WITHOUT THE CROSS IS A THORN! BEWARE!
BASIC SCRIPTURES: GENESIS 16:15; 17:20-21; 18:1-15
Welcome to this second half of the year! It was Victor Hugo who said: “There is one thing stronger than all the armies of the world, and that is an idea whose TIME HAS COME.” Note the phrase, “An idea whose time has come.” It’s dangerous to rush any idea or dream whose time has not come! Until your God-given time comes, your labour or rushing anticipation ends in frustration. It is better to do all you know to do, then wait on your God who is the MASTER of times and seasons. Remember the lines from Mr. Marshal Foch’s pen: “There are no hopeless situations; there are only men/women who have grown hopeless about them.” Abraham rushed ahead of God and he got Ishmael! Moses rushed 40 years ahead of God and he was convicted for murder! At the Temptation of Matthew 4, Satan wanted to rush Jesus to get to the throne without the cross, but Jesus prevailed! Did you get that? A Throne Without The Cross Will Become A Thorn! Lord, help us! Don’t create your own Ishmael! It will give you sorrow for life! Waiting is one of the “bus-stops” on the road to winning! Whatever your Father has not planted will not stand! God cannot water any idea or crop He has not planted. God cannot bless any action He did not begin! Saul lost the throne because of impatience, and unapproved sacrifices! Oh, if only he had waited for Jehovah’s time! Learn from Saul! Stop envying others or trying to be like them! Stop pitying yourself! Stop planning to rush! God has a plan concerning you! Be reminded again of what John Maxwell said: “A person can live forty days without food, four days without water, four minutes without air but only four seconds without hope!” Beware! In this second half of 2025, don’t rush anything! Your own is your own and it will locate you IN YOUR DIVINE SEASON! Hold on and trust God!Your Isaac (laughter) is near!
