TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL TOPIC: WHEN THERE IS LIGHT!
Many years ago, a study was conducted to determine the power of hope. Some mice were put inside a bowl of water inside a dark room. Similar mice were put inside another bowl of water, but there was light shining upon this other set of mice. The researcher observed that both sets of mice struggled and ran around in the water again and again just to rescue themselves.

However, the mice in the dark room could not hold on for very long. The mice in the room that had light kept on fighting for their lives. Their conclusion was:When There Is Light, There Is Hope. When There Is Light, There Is Strength. When You Can See Into The Future, You Can Muster Up Enough Strength To Hold On Today. See Psalm 119:105 – “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Then Psalm 119:130 declares: “The entrance of Thy words giveth light…” That means LIGHT and THE WORD are the same! Then focus on Numbers 23: 19 : “God is not a man, that He should lie…hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?” Since the WORD of God is light, and since GOD CANNOT LIE, focusing on the WORD in any battle, gives hope and courage! Helen Keller, a woman who became blind and deaf as a very young child, but grew up to touch the world in a remarkable way, said,“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” If God were to open your eyes to see the things that are really happening behind the scenes for your good, you will never find it hard to hold on to the promises of God in any hard season of your life and ministry. Just as God worked behind the scenes for the children of Israel, so will He work for you and always remember thatHIS SILENT SEASON IS HISPLANNING SEASON!He said in Isaiah 62:1 – “For Zion’s sake (Put your name), I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake (put your local church name), I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof goes forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burns.” In other words, Until You Become All That God Wants You To Be, He Will Not Rest. Refuse to quit now! Hold on because He is working!

Just as there was light for the struggling mice for survival so also is the word of God a light to me as I surjorn in this Earth.Most times I am overwhelmed by suffering, trials and temptation but when remember or heard the word of God I become strengthen than I was before.This ODM vision will reach greater heights in Jesus Name.
