Welcome! There’s a legend about a day the sun didn’t rise! At 6:00am in the morning, it was dark. At 7:00am, it was still night. Noon came and it was like midnight. By 4:00pm in the afternoon, people flocked to the churches to beg God for the sun. The next morning, huge crowds gathered outdoors to face the eastern sky. When the first rays of sunlight pushed open the door of the morning, the people burst into cheers and praised God for the sun! Can you picture life without the SUN? Many times we take for granted the love, mercy, blessings and faithfulness of God. In a world where everything is failing, what is keeping the earth is the faithfulness of God. If God should respond to you or bless you based on your deeds or righteousness, you know you will not be where you are in life today because your self-righteousness is like a filthy rag before Him. That is why David the psalmist declared in today’s scripture: “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul and forget not all His benefits.” The psalmist probably knew he couldn’t possibly remember all of God’s benefits to him. Oh! In this year 2025, as you go out daily, don’t only imagine life without the SUN, also imagine life without the SON! Don’t take God’s love for granted! COUNT HIS BENEFITS AND TRUST HIM!
