Welcome to today’s devotional, with the mighty Man of war. It was Flavius Vegtius Renatus who said, “Let him who desires peace prepare for war.” And then Aristotle quipped, “We make war that we may live in peace.” No wonder Jesus declared in John 16, when He was about to depart this world, “In the world you will have tribulation” (John 16:33). But He did not end it there! He said further: “Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” So, in the battles of life, you and I are not supposed to fight as soldiers who are still struggling to conquer! Rather, we are supposed to FIGHT LIKE CHAMPIONS, FIGHT LIKE WINNERS, FIGHT LIKE OVERCOMERS! Jesus already defeated the devil, and as far as God is concerned, the devil is under your feet. His power over you has been reduced to zero. You have the power to overcome him and keep him defeated everytime he comes with his attack. This is why you must live every day prepared. Prepare for the temptations, and prepare to win! Prepare for his attacks, and prepare to win! Hold up your shield of faith and protect yourself from every fiery dart coming from the pit of hell. As this year rolls to an end, the devil is set to roll the destiny and glory of many into the pit; resolve that you will not be one of his victims! ALWAYS BE ALERT AND PREPARE FOR WAR! Never forget: “Let him who desires peace prepare for war.” You cannot be defeated! END-OF- YEAR TEMPTATIONS will PASS OVER YOU! ANY ALLOWED END-OF- YEAR TEMPTATION will PROMOTE YOU!
