CONTINUED FROM YESTERDAY! The report further stated that there were 9 calls and meetings with the White House counsel and the acting Attorney General in which the former president asked for help in his quest to delegitimize the elections and remain in the White House. As things turned out, none of the officials gave in to the former president’s request. Oh, I remember African democracies! Laughs! It is a shock that such things ever happened in America! But see this: We are influenced everyday by the things we hear, smell, watch, see and come in contact with. Friends, colleagues and acquaintances influence our decision making, to either do the right or wrong things. People join different groups, either good or bad, because they are influenced. In Verse 10 of today’s Bible reading, we are told, “My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.” What this verse is telling us in essence is that if you are being influenced or pressurized to do evil, do not give in, in this year 2024. This passage goes on to say, “If they say, ‘Come with us, let us lay in wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:….. My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path” (Verses 11-12 and 15). A friend, colleague or loved one who encourages you to do evil, must be avoided at all cost this year! The actions of the White House officials are worthy of commendation. Like them, if you are being pressurized or influenced to do evil, do not compromise or give in. STAND YOUR GROUND, because there is no friendship, power or politics in the grave! HEAVEN AT LAST!
